We have flat per person rates for the different group sizes, which are listed below.   This is an extra service that we offer and customers are welcome to source alternative transfers, use public transport or hire a car if they prefer, but we recommend that you read our comments below.

Transfers on Arrival

Where customers are arriving on different flights scheduled to arrive within 90 minutes of each other it may be necessary for hold a transfer to wait for the later/latest aeroplane. The maximum time however will be 90 minutes. An example of this is the BA morning flight which is scheduled to arrive 50 minutes after the Ryanair morning flight.

If you do not wish to wait, we may be able to arrange an extra transfer for you which will be charged at the rates shown for non standard transfers below.

Transfers on departure

We aim to leave the resorts in time to get you to the airport 2 hours before the departure of your flight. However if there are customers leaving on an earlier flight than you we may bring departure time forward, providing that the lifts have officially been shut for at least 1 hour before the new departure from resort time. 

In reality there is a bus from the airport to the station in Turin; then there is a train from Turin to Oulx (some are direct, some involve changes); then another bus from Oulx to Sauze or Montgenèvre.  You will need to buy three tickets in three different ticket offices, each may involve a queue.  You will also need to be able to explain where you want to go.

Then you would need the bus to leave the airport at the exact time that you are ready and to arrive at Turin station at the right time for the train to depart the moment you board it.  Then of course the bus waiting at Oulx station needs to be ready to leave as soon as the train arrives.  DO YOU FEEL THAT LUCKY?  We would always advise that you wait for the free transfer.

Renting a car

When assessing the viability of a hire car as an alternative, it is important to take into account fuel costs, motorway tolls and the cost of snow chains, which are required by law.

Do you know how to put the chains on?  Do you really want to have this problem when it is dumping down with snow?  If you do, make sure you have an old jacket and a pair of gardening gloves as with all the slush and salt about it is a cold and filthy job.   Make sure the car you hire is big enough to get all your luggage in.  Is there parking at your accommodation?  Who is going to dig the car out on your day of departure if there has been a big snow fall?  What if it doesn't start?  And lastly how much is it going to cost you if you get a knock on the bodywork?  Remember this is winter in the mountains, there is often snow and ice on the roads.

If you do decide that a hire car is a viable option, please make sure that you know the way to the resort and if you do not speak the language of the country you are in, at least carry a phrase book.  This may be an option, but only if you intend to use the car during your stay.

Independent airport transfer company

If you book a transfer with a taxi company or independent airport transfer specialist you should agree a fixed price. You should make sure that you are clear where in the airport you should meet your driver and how you will recognise each other.  Also make sure that it is a direct airport transfer and that you are not calling at other resorts on the way. Check that they know where your accommodation is and that they have the necessary permit to get their vehicle to the accommodation and are not intending to leave you to hump your bags half a mile up a hill.  It's hard to understand why you would chose this option unless Holiday Enterprises do not have capacity to pick you up.
